Here are the seeds for the MiLB Low-A ballpark vote. Despite the past existence of the Low-A classification in MiLB in previous years, this version bears little resemblance to the Low-A lineup of the past. This Low-A lineup contains most of the former High-A Florida State League and California League, a former Triple-A Pacific Coast League ballpark, former Low-A Sally League teams, and some former High-A Carolina League teams. Of this new lineup, only the former Sally League teams competed at the Low-A level in prior years.

This isn’t the result of a formal grading system, but rather recommendations based on years of attending games, seeing how the ballparks function behind the scenes (we have seen plenty of ballpark cisterns while on visits in the past), how these ballparks have made an impact in their communities, and noting how ballparks are regarded within the industry. One of the reasons we love working in baseball is that many industry folks, including many on the player side, are ballpark geeks, and we think this list reflects broad sentiment among those who know ballparks best. This is a wide-open competition; last year's Low-A champion, Whitaker Bank Ballpark, is now in an MLB Partner League. Last year's High-A champion, The Diamond, is our #1 seed.
